MAINE GLASS BLAST RESISTANT WINDOW SYSTEM

Maine Glass Safety Series Windows are available under the General Services Administration (GSA) contract and are now on the Federal Supply Schedule.

The Safety Series Window received up to a "Performance Condition 1", the highest safety classification available under the Federal Government's GSA/ISC Glass Hazard Rating Scheme.

Safety Series Windows have been designed to add another layer of protection to the building. This protection also adds other benefits by reducing energy loss through the creation of a thermal pocket of air between the existing and new pane of glass. In addition, the additional frame creates a double barrier against air infiltration, virtually eliminating energy-robbing and uncomfortable drafts. As an added benefit, the windows enhance the appearance of the older, existing window, while also reducing external noise by more than 50 percent.

The Windows are custom made to the measurements of the existing windows and are easily installed inside a facility's existing windows. The versatility of the Safety Series Window System is one of the most innovative ways for government facilities of all types to experience reduced energy loss and rapid payback while increasing the overall hazard protection of the building.
