MARRIOTT FISHERMAN’S WHARF

( SAN FRANCISCO CA )

THE PLAN

Add a single pane of glazing to each existing single pane window system. The additional pane of glass is added to the existing window system by permanently installing a metal track, frame, and window assembly to the interior portion of the window rough opening. The new pane and frame is operable, sliding open on the permanently installed and sealed track.

PRE-PROJECT EVALUTAION

COMFEN Energy modeling was conducted in 2016 by Haglund Design prior to install that predicted a reduction of 358,858 kWh in annual electric usage resulting in a savings of $44,809 after installation of Maine Glass Interior Insulating windows.

Modeling was submitted to Pacific Gas and Electric to apply for a utility rebate based on custom efficiency measures. After engineering review of the modeling along with site visits. PG&E awarded Fisherman’s Wharf an incentive of $67,164.14 based on the modeling.

POST-PROJECT EVALUATION

After post install tracking of 2018 utility usage, a comparison of 2016 usage adjusted for occupancy showed a reduction of 370,722 kWh in annual electric usage resulting in a savings of $48,193 in actual consumption after installation of Maine Glass windows.
